Fall 2021 In-Person Classes

Registration is NOW OPEN for New and In-Person Fall Classes!

We’ve been out of the studio for quite some time, so this fall we’re getting back to basics and offering all new classes in Ballet, Tap, Acting & Improv, Voice, & Theatre Tech. These classes will include Guest Artists and culminate with a holiday showcase performance! 
We’ll also be offering an exciting mentorship opportunity for teens interested in mentoring youth through the arts! Mentoring can change YOUR life! All YPTMTC classes are FREE! Located at the Harvey Milk Center for the Arts 50 Scott Street, SF

Ballet
9/14 – 12/14
Tuesdays 5-6 PM
Instructor: Nicola Bosco-Alvarez

Learn the fundamentals of Ballet from barre to center practice. Increase core strength, balance, turning skills, and improve posture and flexability. Proper dance attire and shoes required.  All levels welcome. 


Tap
Sept. 14 – Dec. 14
Tuesdays 4-5 PM
Instructor: Bernadette Flynn

Learn all the fundamentals of tap combined with fun choreography! Proper dance attire and shoes required.  All levels welcome.

Vocal Training

Wednesdays 4-5:30 PM 
Instructor: Barry Lloyd

Learn and expand upon the fundamentals of vocal training using breath and vocal techniques to improve range, ability, and harmonization individually and within a group. All levels welcome.


Acting & Improv
Sept. 17 – Dec. 17
Fridays 4-5:30 PM  

Instructors: Barry Lloyd & Nicola Bosco-Alvarez Develop Improv and Acting skills for the stage and beyond!  Dive into character building and scene study.  All levels welcome.


Theatre Tech
Sept 16 – Dec 16
Thursdays 4-6 PM
Instructor: Bernadette Flynn

Learn a wide range of technical theatre skills such as scenic painting, set design, prop making, make-up and costume design. All levels welcome.

YOUTH MENTORSHIP SERIES!
Thursdays, 3-5 PM
September 16 – November 4

A fantastic opportunity for teens interested in giving back to the community and working with youth! Teens will be paired with 4th & 5th grade McKinley Elementary School students in the Harvey Milk After School Enrichment Program.  Teens will mentor and work with youth to develop skills in the arts, dance, theatre, and playwriting. This specialty series provides a safe and nurturing environment for both teens and youth to gain self esteem and confidence. Mentors earn community service hours for this course.
