AUDITONS Friday, March 7, 4:30 – 7:00PM Saturday, March 8, 12:00 – 2:00PM CALL BACKS: Saturday, March 8, 2:30 – 5:00PM Location: Harvey Milk Center for the Arts @ 50 Scott Street, SF TO AUDITION: • Must be 13–19 years old • Prepare a song to sing and bring the sheet music for the accompanist (provided). • Prepare a monologue no more than 2 minutes long. • Bring headshot and resume (if available). FOR CALLBACKS • Anyone that auditions should come to the callbacks • All music will be provided and taught by the Music Director • Be prepared to dance! This special workshop of the soon to premiere R&B musical, “The Day The Sky Turned Orange” will feature original student content alongside the script written by Julius Rea, with music by Olivia Kuper Harris, and David Michael Ott. The Day The Sky Turned Orange: A YPTMTC Workshop will bring YPTMTC’s director and young performers together with the creative team of the upcoming world premiere production co-produced by SFBATCO and Z Space this fall. A compassionate call for environmental awareness, the story follows a group of students as they struggle to keep hope alive during 2020 Covid lock-downs as fire smoke turns Bay Area skies orange.
